After approximately ten years working in the travel industry primarily as a corporate travel counselor, I have finally and proudly joined the ranks of Stay-at-home moms. I've been married to John since March 20, 2000, and have been truly blessed with two beautiful daughters, now ages 4 and 2-1/2. All my days are very busy and full. My dream is to one day catch up on all my housework and just enjoy more time with my girls.
I still love traveling. We recently returned from a long vacation to Oregon via the northern California coast. I've driven across the United States at least four times. I lived in Spain for approximately two years and have traveled to Portugal, Germany, Denmark, Holland, and Morocco. I loved every moment of it all (except not so much Morocco). My ultimate travel dream is to visit the Greek Islands and Italy before I die. Elsewhere, I've also visited St. Martin, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. Can you tell I love to explore?
Being a Navy wife is an honor, but challenging at times, not every girl is cut out for it (thus many divorces of young couples). It saddens me to be far from my family, but I guess I've become accustomed to it and I've always been rather independent anyway. John has been away numerous times anywhere from four to eight months at a time. Unfortunately he missed the birth of both daughters while at sea. However, when not at sea or at work on shore duty he's a full-time, active, and great daddy. He wants to retire at 20 years in 2009 and quite frankly I'm scared to death!
